My rainbow six siege has been stuttering for ages and i can't fix it

Hi, my r6s has been having mirco sutters for about 2 months and my fps is lower then other players with the same set up and i play on a low and they play on ultra. The FPS i would usally get is about 100 but then it will sutter to like 40 all the time a year ago i bought a 144 hz monitor at the time i had v sync on and i could just play on 144 almost all the time but now i can't could someone please help.




PC Specs: GPU: Gtx 1070
CPU: Intel i7700
RAM: 16GB ram.
HDD: 1tb

Overheating? idk about this one but maybe it's your drivers

I have checked my Intel drivers and my GPU drivers and i cleaned my whole PC yesterday

Chances are it won't be your hardware and it's probably your software like drivers. Try to browse the steam discussion with keyword "fps stutter". Many people do experience this and they have found a solution in another thread with the same context

had the same problem but somehow fixed it with a new cpu i dont know the cause of it
