Buck - Has an assault rifle or a DMR and both of them have an underbarrel Shotgun
Valkyrie - my fav, has "black eyes" those are 3 cams you can throw anywhere
Blackbeard - Has 2 rifle shields which can save you from getting headshotted each one has a few HP before they break
Caveira - A stealthy one, has an OP pistol which downs you and then you can interrogate the downed enemy to show all other operators on the map for 7 seconds
Capitão - Has a crossbow that shoots either fire or smoke arrows Hibana - Has X-Cairos Pellets they look like fidget spinners xD you csn shoot them on a reinforced wall so you can breach in
And lastly Echo - has 2 Yokai drones which can stick on the ceiling and shoot some kind of waves that dizzy the enemies.... Don't know how to say it. I don't play him.
Defense:
Echo: has two drones that stick to the ceiling and can blast people with sonic sound.
Caveira: Can go stealth mode which makes it hard to hear her.
Valkyre: Has cameras that can be deployed wherever you want.
Frost: Has bear traps.
Attack:
Buck: Can switch between rifle and shotgun mode.
Blackbeard: Has shields to put on his guns.
Capitao: Has a crossbow which can switch between smoke and asphixyating bolts
Hibana: Has a grenade launcher that deploys grenades that stick to walls to breach them.
Depends on if you like the game and you are going to spend in it a lot of time, playing at least few hours 1-2 times per week or you are going to just launch it from time to time, more rarely than weekly.
If you are going to play it weekly or even more often then buying standard edition is enough because playing that often and doing weekly and daily challenges you will be able to unlock all operators pretty quick. On other hand you totally will not be going to use all operators, you will have your favorite operators and you will not be using most of available operators. Also let's take into account price difference between editions: if it is small enough then buy higher tier edition, there is no reason to buy it as much as there is no reason to not buy it. In current sale on steam price difference is around 2 euros? Well, decision is obvious.
If you are going to play less often than weekly then go for as high tier edition as you can.
I played the game i think during its first free weekend, me and my gf instantly fell into this game and we knew we are going to spend lots of time in it so we were ok with buying starter edition (doesn't exist anymore and anyone who owned it received an upgrade to standard edition), we have all operators unlocked. By doing weekly and daily challenges it is possible to earn enough renown for both operators of new season and leftovers will be high enough to buy one of older operators.
I hope this will help you to make a choice which fits you best.
