if you have a smartphone or something plug it into there and see if it sounds better, if you have that USB-C to USB-A thingy try using that
if it sounds bad with the USB sound card but good on your 3.5mm jack on your phone the sound card is the culprit
you can buy an amplifier to get around this, you can buy a pretty overkill one if you ever plan to buy better headphones like sennheiser hd 650 or something
