how can we tell for sure? none of the 3 companies shared how much sales they made on each of their platforms
if you have a game on uplay, steam, or epic games then steam would obviously make the most sales
but if epic and/or uplay makes the game cheaper on steam, people will most likely buy from one of those two stores
if ubisoft was using the hated from the epic games store to drive sales to uplay, would the game not be the same price on uplay? currently rainbow six siege is 1 dollar cheaper on uplay vs epic games
the epic games store hatred is widespread and all, but have people actually stopped and think about how they are doing as an actual business? they were able to change from giving you one free game every two weeks to giving you 1-2 free games every 1 week
sounds like epic games is making a lot of money, even though they are getting a lot of hatred they are getting a lot of the only thing that matters to a business, which is money
which is also why using epic games to drive sales to uplay only kind of makes sense, the majority of gamers dont care, they dont care about epic games, uplay, steam, origin, they just want to play their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game
the reason why i say it kind of makes sense is because its not the main focus, though getting that last drop of customers who dont want do buy from epic games is still a lot of money
it doesnt matter who ubisoft goes with, they win either way... they just gain less money if they put it on steam only since they are a AAA publisher
how about regional pricing ? lots of countries are available on steam
and I prefer Pay more but bring my games in one place
i think epic games added that only recently
i also like having my games in one place, before i just used the "add non-steam game" option
but desktop shortcuts are pretty underrated

will the game removed from steam?
I don't think it will

Watch dogs 2 and GRW are on epic store too, but there are on steam also

Well not really. Steam would obviously make more money than Epic selling the same game. Its just Ubisoft is using the Hatred for epic to drive more people to buy from Uplay instead of steam. They don't care what they sell on Epic, they just want to sell more copies on Uplay.

Their money success doesnt have anything to do with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ store. Its pretty clear that all of previous/future epic/uplay only games are just ubi plan to make people use their launcher since even if its bad its still miles ahead of egs. And this thing with siege ?Who knows what kind of deal went there to get it discounted like this.

Dont buy it on epic and if you care about pc gaming dont even promote their action. And btw there promotion on uplay too 60 percent.
So yeah it being on epic is just way to make people use uplay.

Uplay makes better promotions. So there is no need to buy it from epic games.

I don't think anyone is that dense to start buying it through Epic Store. It's been more than three and a half years since the game was released and not only they all of a sudden have it available on Epic Store but they give 50% for all editions just to attract people to buy the game through their store.
how about for the first time they discounted the season pass ?
Ubi didn't, Epic did. They have a history of randomly putting discounts on all the games, including ones where the developer doesn't want their product to be on discount. Epic's response; "Screw you, if you don't want it to be on discount pull it from the store during sales."
