how to get new characters?

I only get recruit while the other players get various characters to play. How is that fair

You need to go to operators in main menu and purchase them with renown (the currency you earn by playing matches)

Operators > Unlock New Operator > [Operator you want] > Unlock with Renown

Unfortunately, the Operators released post-launch can be really tough to grind towards, and often it's easier to simply buy them with real-world money.

i can easily unlock new op within a week or so by only playing casual

about 4 to 5 hours per 2 days isn't alot
