when someone is above you, footsteps are more bassy
when someone is below you, footsteps are more trebely
if you tune to hearing footsteps your probably gonna have a harder time determining if someone is above/below you
anyways for general footsteps the high mid-range is what you want to up
for siege your gonna have to do some playing around, your headphones and ears are not the same as another persons headphones and ears just go with whatever sounds the best to you
