Do r6s players not know what boosting actually is?

Boosting is when someone of a higher rank uses an alt/smurf account to play with people of lower ranks and boost them up.

A silver and a plat playing together is not boosting. It's not unfair since the silver has to play against golds which puts him at a disadvantage, and if the golds cant take out 1 plat then they probably don't deserve to be in gold.

If the plat used a smurf account to also play as a silver then it would be boosting, since the enemies ranks would also be all silvers.

it does put the silver at a disadvantage yes, but it puts the plat at an advantage
ubisoft tried to stop this matchmaking abuse by adding a rank gap, if you have a 1000 MMR gap you cant plat with your friend
people are asking for this to be lowered to 500, or make it so that you get matched against the highest rank in your party

i think that second one is better, if you want to play with your low rank friend they can get clapped by higher ranks instead of getting an unfair rank

Dude, golds are trash. A non boosted plat 3 is like 10x better than a gold 3. The skill difference between plat 3 and 1 is pretty big too. A plat 3 player can easily carry a team of low golds/high silvers.
a plat 1 can carry a team of gold 1s and plat 3s.

You've never been higher than gold if you don't think a plat 3 is much better than a gold 3.
I'm currently in gold on this account and I have a 90% headshot rate and a 72% win rate. Golds are so bad I just 1 tap headshot them through walls and they ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan about me being a hacker but really I'm just good and they aren't.

the skill jump from gold to plat is pretty high, i was gold 1 and as soon as i reached high gold 1/low plat 3 i got clapped pretty consistently
even though plats in theory are suppost to only be slightly better in the actual game the skill difference is pretty drastic

all yall saying that plats and golds are miles apart r bad and need 2 git gud, the average plat 3 isnt much better than a gold 1. Theres no magical difference that seperates golds and plats.
