MMR Spread Too Wide
I get that they're trying to curb massive MMR discrepancies but 1000MMR is stll far too generous. If anything, it should be narrowed to 500, just to avoid stomps involving a team of low Plats versus high Silvers.

Thanks for your feedback! The team is continuing to monitor discussions and suggestions surrounding this new change.

Yea, Plat3 to Plat2 is just way too distant

I kindly agree, 500 mmr difference should be enough to avoid low plats vs low golds / high silvers kind of matchmaking.

Instead of using the MMR difference, they should make it so they get paired up with the highest MMR on the team....

Golds and Plats aren't at all that different, I play with plats against plats as a gold and get a fairly good amount of kills per game.

I wouldn't mind playing against plats if I had a plat on my team.

That also a pretty decent & fair alternative, :47_thumb_up::MrFoster:

I think this is the way it should be.

No, since it is unfair to the higher ranked players you get matched with. That solution only works in a 5 stack. If I'm a plat and I get paired up with a bronze, silver, copper, and plat, I'm not happy

Recently, my team of randoms (Silvers) got stomped by a pre-made group with four Plats that was offset by a single Bronze on their team, who we were fairly sure they were boosting. The thousand-point MMR spread made it a valid match but still...it's too wide of a point gap for matchmaking. If the gap were closed to a 500 MMR difference, instead, matches would end up a little more balanced.

i think the mmr spread should be 400-500 or 600

You do present a very valid point, well how about the 500 mmr limit @OP suggested instead?
