Defuser glitch? Can't see it

So I was playin, last 1vs1; killed him but I couldnt find the defuser. Team were screaming at me saying it was in front of me but I couldnt see anything and the icon had a "50m" which made no sense because bombs were just a couple of feet away. I panicked because they were just screaming "there! in front of you!" but there was no defuser.
Is that a real bug or did I just trip? They called me autistic and kicked me. Im sad now.
Bombs were in the same room, few feet from each other.

it could have been up ontop of something depending on the map, it also could have been under some corpses

Ubi broke "finding" the defuser in most cases since Blood Orchid. You used to be able to look at the defuser and it'd highlight it.

Now it only does that sometimes.

This is a desync problem, something Siege really struggles with. It is the same problem that allows people to plant the defuser outside of the sites and causes players to be invisible.
