Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Why does nobody understand how drones work?
I'm always suprised by how even lv.100+ fail to place their drones properly for the later game.
Why are people jumping around and scanning for enemies in the first 30 seconds? The only thing that will cause is the defenders will know a drone is watching them and look for it. By the time the round starts the marked points will fade away anyway.

So lets say people are smart enough not to waste their type scanning enemies and manage to place their drone somewhere nice close to the defenders bomb/hostage whatever. Why are you looking in the enemies direction the whole time? There is a red glowing led on the front of the drone which makes your drone easily visible and results in it getting destroyed. Look at the wall when enemies are too close for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake...

Anyway. Please, learn how to use freakin drones ok? I know its just a game and this rant is kind of useless anyway as only few people will read it, but please understand how drones work, please.

I'm mostly annoyed by the fact that when i get my drone in the sneakiest place in the world and i can see the whole objective room without enemies knowing its there, people start to scan people with the damn thing, pretty much every time my drones get destroyed because teammates just spamming scan with my drone.

lmfao thats a fact. i use the drone like 30 secs-1 min into the round to scan around and check out rooms

I think people who don't use mics feel the need to tell the team what they spotted. I know I've done that. I mean if your whole team is using mics and working together, why would you ever bother spotting?

i scan because thats the only way to identify enemies consistently, just looking at them usually doesnt work for me. but yeah, i dont understand the amount of people that just scan for no reason

they jsut start spotting and our drones end up getting caught. its annoying. its not like we spawn 20 ft from them

After you identify the objective, try to hide it or save it after identifying enemies if possible. That's smart. Not what the guy above me is saying.

Look, when you say that people don't know how to use a drone and then immediately follow it with "fail to place their drones properly for the later game" it shows that you do not understand the purpose of one of the simplest parts of R6S.
You use your drone during preparation phase to gain as much intel as possible about objective locations, points of entry, gadget locations, which operators are being used etc. What you don't do is tuck your drone away without having contributed anything towards intel gathering.
I see players such as yourself hiding your precious little drones away all the time, even when there are still objectives and operators to be identified.
The fact that you hide your drone away shows that it is you that has absolutely no clue about how to use a drone.
What? After playing each map several times you kinda know where the cams everything are, I don't need to drive my drone around a map I already know in decent detail. The advantage of hiding the cam near the hostage/bomb etc. is that you can scan the room later on when you're actually close to it making killing the enemies easier. Wasting my time driving around the house is total BS.

If everybody has been scanned, I personnaly prefer to put my drone in a roaming route, so we don't get shot in the back.

after you get your drone in a good hiding spot face it towards a wall or away from obj then when round starts face it towards the direction you want

I like to play around with defenders, who just shoot my drone with this their ammo decreases and might even kill their teammate if you jump right with the drone(yes it happens, even in Ranked)

It is exactly what I was just saying. Where do they find you people?

Because that's the smart thing to do? you don't need to drive 5 drones in the stupid objective room just that all get shot out. You need 1 maybe 2 and you idenftify everthing you need, the other drones get saved in other rooms/spots so you can instantly scout with this drones if you enter the building for roamers or other stuff.

If you don't have that drone you will have to throw one and drive to that point again, waste of time, it will get destroyed probably you have no drone left, waste of drone. And now you have to enter a building and several rooms without a drone and without knowledge where the enemys at good JOB rainbow is proud of you when you get shot in the back.
