Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Controller Support?
I've previously played Siege on ps4 but kinda fell away from it because my team and the community in General that I played with died out. Now that I have a pc that can actually run Siege I was thinking of picking it up for the sale and giving it another shot. But I didn't want to buy it if I'd have to play using keyboard and mouse because I'm god-awful with them, I already know how to play on controller, and I play a lot better on controller because I've used them pretty much my entire gaming life with a few exceptions here and there. Does the pc version have full controller support to let you play entirely with a controller in combat? It says partial support on the steam page and I'm honestly not sure what that means.

Not only does the game support controllers, your PS4 controller is fully supported, complete with PS4 button prompts and all.

Play with mouse and keyboard.

There's also the steam controller. I tried it and it works fine. The game supports simultaneous mouse and controller input.

yeah the game has full controller support, playing with a controller might make you a burden to your teammates tho

If you like unprecise and retarded movement then nothing will stop you from playing with controller but later do not report people and do not shout "game is sheeeet, full of haxxxxxxorzzz, lolololz, lelz, no lez".
There's nothing wrong with movement on a controller. Aiming yeah, but not movement.

Absolutely nothing, ye, right, oh yeah, awesomeness of movement on controller :D

controller movement is fine, part of why they're preffered for action games and platformers
If I had to list off cripling flaws of controllers, the only two things that come to mind are aiming and the fact that you have to stop moving/aiming to preform some actions.

Oooohhhh, I thought you were talking about the actual act of moving.

Anyway, games generally compensate for that issue by binding actions that can't be done while moving to the dpad and actions that don't need to be aimed to the face buttons. Not always, but generally.

I play it with a xbox 360 pad (i dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about my "precious aim" and the likes, i hate keyboard and mouse) and i have general positive experience. Only issue i run into is mapping the voice button, but i just mapped it to one button on my keyboard so its a simple fix. Working on getting an xbox elite controller to play with, heard it has great sensitivity and aiming.

Do you know if it also supports default xbox one controllers? and if so do i need to plug my head set into my pc or controller?

It's funny when someone asks a basic question about controller support, there's always at least one troll that feels they *must* tell the world that keyboard/mouse is better.

Notice that the OP doesn't ask if k/m is better, he just wants to know how much a controller is supported.

tldr it's supported but you're really gonna want to get used to a keyboard.
