Cheaters in R6
Today I caught a cheater, he rushed and killed everyone within seconds, wallbanging and everything. He was lvl 138.
There are plenty of videos out there of people playing agaisnt cheaters and some of them are also high level.

There's 2 possibilities: Start cheating on a high level account OR it just takes a long amount of time before they are banned (and getting to 100+ is not easy)

There's also this one cheater that got some "recognition" because some youtubers played agaisnt him. He admitted to cheat every time with the same cheats because they are never detected. He gets banned, but he just buys another account and keeps cheating with the same♥♥♥♥♥♥over and over.

SO
How long does it take to detect and ban a cheater? How effective is the anti cheat?

Anti cheat is effective but you can literally buy an Uplay account with siege on it for about a dollar so people don't care if they get banned.

Game companies need to enforce "whitelists"for lack of a better word, basically while their game is running on the users pc,only authorized programs are allowed be active, like google, youtube, music player etc
And unknown programs have to be disabled to continue

Its a dumb idea, but at least its an idea

Effective to what extent tho? Does it actually detect the cheats or it relies only on reports.

Because if what that cheater said is indeed true and the cheats are never detected, I wouldn't call it effective, quite the opposite actually.
If it goes undetected, imagine how many may be running around with wallhack just to be ahead, being low key to not look super suspicious.

Nothing is unhackable. Nothing is undetectable. these are two basic principles we all need to understand, A cheat will always be detected in time, I've looked into siege hacks for you and from what I can tell the "undetectable" ones are Invite only - which means you need to be trusted by the coder to be able to use his/her codes. What this means is that it'll be harder to detect because there isnt alot of people going around raging with it and getting banned so the dev's don't know it even exists

Some games do have this. Cheaters mask their cheats using a signature of a program you have. So a hack could look like chrome (a common mask).

Lol stfu, gtfo. OP has a good point and is starting a good discussion. Just because you think he might be bad at the game and is just bad doesn't mean it's true. I can say for a fact there are plenty of cheaters in this game, and I don't just say that because I am bad at the game. In fact, I have my own private cheats for this game :steammocking:

In online Marketing the specifics (Resolution, Hardware etc.) of the running machine is used to create a digital signature of a machine to identify people. And this is running in a Browser means it has very limited information available.
As a local running application it should be pretty easy to make it completly unique (Hardware ID's, Serial numbers etc.) and use it to ban machines from people. Store that random identification number in your profile and if you replace your Board for example you have to register a new ID.
Never understood why this is not used and instead Accounts are getting banned, which is like fighting Windmills.
Sure you can buy new hardware or do other stuff to change your signature but that is way more work then just buying a new hacked UBI account in a forum.

It is extremely easy to change HWID using free software. Same goes for MAC Address and IP.

There isn't out there some type of anti-cheat with BIOS ban + IP ban + Hardware Ban + MAC address ban yet? Seems they're getting abit outdated tbh.
Edit: one grammar error i spotted.

kill yourself weeaboo ♥♥♥♥♥♥, proving once again anime attracts the worsst kinda people, like pedohpiles. i know theres alot of cheaters because people are such garbage

You should take your own advice, kiddo. Nice 48 hours on record btw, lul. Your point is completely invalid, just because a person enjoys an animation doesn't mean they are pedophiles (Which you spelt wrong). I'm sure as the kid you are, you have watched your fair share of animations from the likes of Disney or other providers as well.

There is no anticheat that has the capability of banning down to the BIOS. Even at that point, it is very easy to flash a BIOS.
