For example back to black ice it took me, 2-3 hs on thunt, during two weeks to learn buck C8 possible recoil patterns.
I still prefer the SCAR on BB though, imo it's a better synergy with the shield because of its superior close- and mid-range handling. Most of the time you're holding an angle from cover or peeking through a murderhole, which doesn't generally make a sniper type kit desirable.
Yeah neither weapon he gets is all that great overall. His ability, even post nerf, is still pretty good however, and that seems to be Ubi's usual balancing tactic--good ability, less good weaponry, and vice versa.
There are of course exceptions to that balancing style which still remain despite all the updates--I think everybody knows by now who those "usual suspects" operators are. But Blackbeard can, if played well, pull off kills due to the shield where any other operator would have died instead. Ultimately it's that ability to effect a 'reversal of fortunes' for the attackers that keeps him relevant in skilled hands.
I'm not a BB main and I'd personally like to see his weapons get a slight bit of love, but I also recognize that any significant buffs could potentially land him back in the OP category in which he spent a good amount of time after his initial release.
