What are "Macros"?

I might sound like Thatcher by saying this but, what exactly are "macros"?

buttons that emulate one or more other buttons or inputs. I.E. i press an extra key on my keyboard and it pulls out my op ability and uses it

A single instruction that expands automatically into a set of instructions to perform a particular task.


I hit m1 it rapid fires m1, i hit g holds a grenade for 3 seconds and then releases the key, etc. Lots of stuff you can do.
