Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

smokes FMG-9 holographic sight
Why does it not have one?? It doesn't seem like it would make it unbalanced. I certainly would use it a lot more if it had it.

Probably because it's literally a briefcase turned into a gun.

Seriously, you can look it up. The FMG-9 was a prototype SMG designed for covert ops. If you remove the stock and fold it over it looks a lot like a briefcase. The thing wasn't really intended to have a sight.

Yeah, I want to be able to put all my guns into my pockets and stroll into Hereford Base

Side note, I was at that SHOT show when magpul did that demo with the company I worked for at that time. at SHOT you see ALLLL kinds of wierd stuff, much of which will never actually make it to production (for many reasons). there's also the sad booths, like the guy who sank his entire life savings (and then some) into making a turret/top hatch gunner mod for the average joe's ford f-150.

because, you know, everyone's going to want one.

Isnt the FMG-9 just a full auto Glock with an SMG body on top?

well, all the guns in r6 are real - kind of. a lot of the things are wrong about them, though - probably due to balance, aesthetics, and of course licensing. for example:

1. the ejection ports are all on the left. you wouldn't want that in a real gun, as the cases would be flying past your face (not to mention exhaust gases) unless you were a left handed shooter.

2. many semi auto shotguns are pump, and vice versa. hibana's shotgun, for example, is modeled after the benelli m1 super 90, which is an inertia powered (makes no sense, i know, but it's their marketing term for a unique type of action) semi auto. in the game, however, it's a pump.

3. iron sights don't actually look like the way they do in r6 in that when you use iron sights the sights don't actually take up so much of the visual space. this is especially true with some of the godawful sights that are modeled after fairly high end sights.

Huh, well wow. Very interesting. Also, with holographic red dots, irl isn't sight housing like invisible because your supposed to aim with both eyes open?

So what if you are left handed in the army? Do you get a "special" weapon or do you just get trained to hold the grip with your right hand?

And isn't Hibana's Supernova based on the Benelli shotgun with the same name?
