Make sure you're on the right resolution happened to me bc of nvidia optimize settings
I say keep it at 1920x1080

GeForce experience doesn't exactly give the best settings.

Check if your GPU is underclocking/throttling

how do i do that? and my gpu says only half of it is being used on ultra settings, i was playing, got off, then updated my drivers and didnt change the settings and my fps shot down

Revert to older drivers, Nvidia newer drivers are really dropping in quality.

Revert your GeForce Experience optimization. It's better to just configure the graphics yourself.

Go in rainbow six go to settings and change the resolution to 1080p when u optimize it in Nvidia it sets the game to 4k idk why but it does it i had the same problem
