Is it true that laser sights on shotguns do nothing now? (UPDATE)

If so I'm gonna take them off of my shotguns. I've always used them on shotguns specifically to decrease spread and kill faster.

Inb4 comments that call me a noob and say to never use laster sights because they give away your position. I only use them on some pistols and shotguns and I also know how to aim them as to not give away my position so chill.

UPDATE: It seems the devs have removed this from the patch notes.

From the comments I don't know whether the change was intended to fix a bug where spread would decrease during ADS for laser sights or if the change was intended to legitamately remove the laser sight hipfire spread benefit.

Just because it was removed from the patch notes doesn't mean it won't be in the game though.

they only affect hipfire, not ads, and also this will only happen after S3 patch

I agree, Siege is supposed to be a realistic shooter, so they should implement this realistic feature into a realistic shooter so the already very realistic shooter can be even more realistic.

If you've been shooting IRL guns for a while, you'll quickly learn that every wierd doohickey and moronic clamp-on that could possible be featured in a video game actually already exists IRL. The wierd crap that people will sell you to put on your tacticool gun is just astounding.
