If you do want a headset and not a headphone + mic combo, go for the HyperX Cloud II. (Almost) Headphone level sound quality and a decent-good mic. It also comes with a small external usb soundcard, which does feature 7.1, but again, it mostly makes sound worse.
the suspension band is SUPER comfortable and the sound is very good, 32ohm impedence (that's fairly robust). the mic is good enough, and i simply detach it most of the time.
That I can back it up, but 7.1 in headphones is awful, sounds fake and if you listen to music alot, it sounds demixed.
Probably because you don't hear bass at all, making footsteps even more obvious.
Honestly I'm using Bose earbuds, I can't use headphones because of my glasses.
I hear everything but footsteps, it's terrible. I can only hear footsteps with these things if the enemy is sprinting right above me.
feel free to sort it by the headset, lot use like hyperx cloud/II or razer kraken
it's really all preference in the end anyway
Well it's not a bad thing is such a game where you need to hear them.
Not all the time, just sometimes it's iffy.
