*EDIT will try
Everything from Ubisoft has to be on the same Drive.
when you install everything in one single folder it will works perfectly even on an old laptop..
?
every single data of Ubisoft has to be in the same folder to minimize the loading times from 30-40 seconds after selecting the operator to exactly instant.
the engine is in the RAM
the map data is around 2.5GB which takes around 17 Seconds to load from my normal HDD
but the game loads the map before you are chose an operator it begins while entering a match.
if your Map Data is on another HDD it has to transfer it into the Uplay folder for Direct X Runtimes. this will cause around 300-500% longer loading times.

Put every single file from Ubisoft.. (Games, Uplay etc.) in one big file on the same Drive and you are done

The purpose of creating a new partition and installing the game in there is to make the hard disk to focus on running the game alone without any other files, folders, etc to interfere with the loading of the game.
I would say give it a try and it should work just as fine.
