A question about directx.

Let's say my GPU only supports directx 10. Would setting R6S to -dx10 work, or would it just not work at all?

Minimum requires are as follows:
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870 (DirectX-11 compliant with 1GB of VRAM)

This states your card needs to be DX-11 compliant or from the dev's testing on launch you should not be able to run the game.

You should probably look up if anyone has run siege before on your specific model of graphics card.

Well, I just looked it up, and I didn't see anything. Thanks for your answer though, not gonna buy the game now that I know I can't even run it :/

DirectX is a major platform, and it's here to stay - I imagine most modern games are built on Dx12 then back-peddeld for Dx11/10 if they support them.

Dx13 is also coming (Apparently) sometime this year, along with a whole bunch of different hardware-level designs, I'd reccommend you start saving for an upgrade.

I actually am saving to build a desktop right now, which should work with newer games, gonna change parts while saving up periodically though.

AMD are releasing new CPU's and GPU's in the next few months, AMD have said they are targetting between the current "enthusiast level" and "Server Grade" so they will force Intel/Nvidia to change prices, or at least respond.

Intel have already responded by announcing an i3 that can be OverClocked and features hyperthreading (Never before seen on an i3)
