Wooden barricades
I've put around 60 hours into the game so far and for most of the time iam playing pub games.
I've come to realise that 9/10 games iam the only one barricading doors and windows while my team mates usually just ♥♥♥♥ around.

It got me wondering, are they actually useful at all?
Could they be a disadvantage? Is there a reason why most people prefer to just ignore their existance completely and i just dont know about it?

I personally think wooden barricades are really useful as long as you know how to control them, definitely wouldnt think they are useless, what about you?

advantageous for attackers like glaz, IQ, twitch etc, gather intel on what enemies you're facing.

I'd say that it is a bad thing to put up if you got a few roamers, usually 2 roamers SHOULD be max, but it makes it more difficult to get back to the point and such. Not everything needs to be barricaded.
Barricades arent always a good thing honestly.... maybe thats why ;)

Iam talking about the kind of matches when my team literally does not barricade a single door, they are all left open, best part is they even trap it but never barricade it...well usually they dont.Rank is Bronze 1 btw

Well, maybe that is why then? I got placed bronze 1, but didn't stay there long at all, so I don't remember how they're like. But bronze 1 might be like average people that don't know what to place where?

On the other side of things, they should barricade common spots, and if you don't have roamers, they SHOULD barricade a lot of things, definitely the objective room, unless you defend the other room next to it at the same time.

Actually i'd say Bronze is pretty decent, altough the fact that many times ppl dont barricade doors at all is kind of annoying to me.I've seen them defending the obj room with not a single barricaded door, its like they have something against barricades.

Maybe it's the lack of game knowledge then when it comes to people you play with?

Maybe...they also might be too ignorant to play tactics or communicate with their team, instead they only rely on their gun slinger skills.
Hey, I've a lot of teammates that don't even bother to reinforce the walls, they just roam and wait till the round actually starts, only to be rekt in 10 seconds. So, no reinforced wall, no teammate. Barricading is usefull to a degree. Treat it like a small hurdle to your enemies, not an actual stop point. Don't bother putting barricades wherever there is a window or doorway, see if that barricade can help you or not (either by avoiding crossfires for some time after the round starts, avoiding enemies killing you when you're reinforcing, setting up a trap, or picking up armor, etc), but in my experience, you should barricade most of the time, unless you roam and you'll want an entry point if needed, or if you need to check in anyone is on the other side (for example, on Club House, I don't block off the doorway on the Gym room, so I can check if anyone is trying to get inside that room from the roof or window).
Sorry for this wall of text.

Pretty much yeah. But what rank were those guys who didnt even reinforce the walls?I had some of them too but only one or two times, and they've quickly realised how stupid they were and started reinforcing the next round.
When you should wood barricade a door or windows:

- You really want to use it as a bunker breaking a small piece and think you will get the enemy by surprise.
- Its close to you position and no one is watching that door/window, so if the enemy comes, he has to break, so you will know they are about to flank you.
- You want to let them without vision (mainly happens with windows) at least in an initial moment.

When totally not to barricade:

Your roamer needs to move through that doors, also, if most of your mates are dead except for the roamer and you are on the point, dont barricade, if you die your last hope is that the roamer can get fast in the capture point and have a clear view to find the enemies and kill them by surprise.
Glaz is around there or already broke that door/window, repairing it not only exposes you, but gives glaz a new cover.
Allways have one way out if you are in one of the most obvious or main rooms, if not is the perfect cage to get fuzed or wallbanged if detected.
And dont barricade from the preparing fase inmediatly, your team needs to move, put devices, and roamers at the start will probably fortify, wood and castle door (not window) barricades should be the last thing you do.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Coppers mostly, but even when I was Bronze I still saw this a lot. It's more annoying when we already know that they have Fuze, so he can place it easily and be covered while doing it. Ez win for them.
So you waste time putting useless barricades instead of doing something productive?

like what

Like wondering 50 meters off the objective so its one less guy defending the room?Yeah,i choose barricading over that bs
