Are those operators in rainbow six siege also the characters in rainbow six's novels?

If there's any connection at all, it would be the vanilla operators. DLC operators are all brand-new ideas and are largely irrelevant to them.

@Raspica Blue Yeah I agree. Some one had told me that Jackal is one character in the rainbow six novel, which really amazed me:)
