Load in faster
Anyone know any tricks to load into games faster? I connect to the lobby pretty fast, but when all operators are selected and everyone loads in, im usually the last one to load in, and everyone in the lobby turns into an impatient 9 year old and complains and tries to votekick me.

They call my computer a potato, but here is the specs:

GTX 1060 6GB
i5-4590 3.3 Ghz
8 GB DDR3 RAM

Are there any simple tricks into speeding up the loading process? (So that i dont get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ votekicked because these kids cant wait an extra 15 seconds)

Also: Im not about to buy an extra SSD ontop of my 1.5 TB HDDs. There has to be another way to speed it up besides buying a SSD

Sorry man, but that's REALLY the only way for this game (Getting an SSD), as it draws almost all the files directly from the drive it's on.

get a new hdd your old one is probably fragmented, a new hdd is like40 dollars for a tb, so its worth it

You kids, stop thinking if the author has the lowest game loading speed, that doesnt means that other people has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SSD.
try do defragmentation, check for any windows errors and try close applications, I have 8 GB of ram and its almost using it full, causing it to lags

Ok. I'll give it a try. Also, the reason i dont want to get an SSD is:

1.) I'm broke as hell
2.) I'm not going to spend extra money for an SSD for only ONE GAME
3.) I just got a new 7200 RPM external HDD

I've gotten information that lowering your graphics settings will make you load in faster, hopefully itll work considering i had everything on very high/ultra.

It will work.
Also, external hard drives are sort of ♥♥♥♥, especially if they have to go through a USB 2.0 connection. A SSD obviously would be best. Plan b is defragmenting the drive.

Yep it worked, i load in way faster now.

I'm currently running the game at low/medium settings, but im going to try to run it at high/medium settings and see if i still see improvement, because seeing crappy textures when im used to seeing it in ultra is horrifying lol

Also, shouldnt the external HDD still be faster than my main? My main speed is 5400 RPM and my external is 7200 RPM, although it is using a USB 2.0 port, it still should be a little faster right?

Sort of, but not really. Your'e running the data through a less efficent wire. I think 2.0 capped out at a 2 MB/s transfer rate. If you were running a 3.0 it should be somewhere up into the 500 MB/s range.

if it's not your internet or your computer, then you need a ssd

not that a ssd is related to a computer or anything but, yeah.

I have a decent ssd and mostly I load for 20 seconds. But sometimes I load right away

Ty worked really well now I load before the round starts

you need an ssd, this is a must have for a gamer pc nobody wants to face the loading screen 50% of the game time
Are you using Ultra textures dlc? lower it to very high.

Is your HD not 7200rpm? get a 7200rpm.

Is your game and uplay on diferent drives?

Did you defrag your main drive and game drive recently?

Get a 7200rpm hard drive, it is 33% faster than a 5400rpm, and it makes a huge difference. SSD is unecessary. 7200rpm will keep you from being the last one which is really all that matters.

A 1tb 7200rpm hdd costs about $50
