Overheating after update?

Before the update my gpu's temp. got max 60-65 celcius. But after updating the game its always around 70s. Because of this im getting fps drops. Help pls

dust is a big issue for sure...you might be amazed after you clean it how good your pc runs after it...if the card is older, take it apart and clean inside it...that gets clogged up too.

if its too old...then the thermal paste on the video card needs to be reapplied by you...after 3 yrs or so, the thermal paste goes bad[turns hard] and doesnt work quite as well anymore...its a thing you do...same goes with consoles...i just redid my ps3,xox360 is next

i7 3770k overclocked to 4.2 ghz liquid cooled...under load 36c
16gbs of ram oc to 1866- motherboard.............under load about the same
980 ti sc.......................................................underload 60-65c or lower
have precision x on aggressive fan mode so once those fans kick up....about 55c
win 10 x64

run this game with the ultra hd pack on ultra settings...bloom and gloom off,vsync off,no msaa...on a asus 27inch 1440p ips with gysnyc @144hz...no issues with heat at all.

thank you so much for your try to help me mate. i talked to nvidia and they said that i dont have to worry about 70 degrees and my card can handle up to 90s. if its about the update im sure that they will correct this problem. have good game

My computer got very dusty. Recently I've decided to clean the crap out of it, because my GPU is always hot under load. There was about 7 months worth of dust. And it make ZERO difference. And I mean - not a single degree in identical games and tasks. Still sits at 75-80 depending on the game. Go figure.

Apply new thermal paste.
