Prefire vs. Peeker's Advantage
Who wins?

If you prefire, you're trying to put bullets into a peeker before he can shoot at you. If you're peeking with lag, you're trying to get a shot at the enemy before the bullets can register. Since you can die to a peeker before you see him come out of cover and you can die by running into a bullet spray, who would be the victor here?

(I can't even believe I'm asking this question tbh)

It depends on peeker's ping and yours as well. Also, if you play the game on super high settings with an unecessary big resolution, you'll have some delay and most of the time you'll die without even see the enemy. It's very strange 'cause this only happens on R6:Siege, not other shooters.

So you think the peeker would win more often?

According to my personal experience on this game, yes.

Yup, by a good margin

Higher ping is a huge advantage in this game aswell. No ping blocks after a year.

Ideally, do you think this fight should be even?

Yeah but peekers always have advantage, and laggers (if have more then 100-150 ping) also has advantage, so maybe even?

But high ping is also a disadvantage when the high-ping player is the one who's being peeked.

If your peeker has a ping of aprox 100 to 200 and is maining Ash (No head hitbox) or Jager (Mr SpawnPeeker McAsshole), it would be rather clear which side wins

Just encountered an ash main saying hitboxes are all the same now after I "presumily" hit her and she wasn't even hurt, which I doubt, I could be wrong tho

I've made countless operators bleed without taking damage since the last update.

I would bet on the guy who pre-fires . High ping peekers advantage is just a myth that people create when they die and need to find a reason for it . I play with 56 ms on Seas Server and 160ms on EU server and i never find any advantage peeking on EU server .

Maybe it will be harder to hit the head of a 300+ms player . But thats just the hit box , and not becuase he saw you earlier.

On the other hand , if you have the higher ping and someone with really good connection peeks your camping spot . He will kill ya for sure .

You don't notice when peeker's advantage works for you, that's normal. Your kill may feel laggy, but the best you can "notice" that you have it is when the enemy reacts to your peek slowly.

On the other hand, it is very easy to notice when an enemy shoots you before they come out of cover. Sometimes, it is an educated guess, but more often, it's just that they have peeker's advantage. How do you kill a person who can hit you before you can physically shoot them? Prefiring is the best attempt. You see a bit of a paradox here?
