Only 2 Operators At Start?

Hey all,

I might be being dim here...I've just installed and played a bit of R6S (w/ Y2 pass) for the first time and only have access to 2 Operators (Mira & Jackal). Is that right - I have to unlock/buy all of the others? Also, the Y1 Operators seem ridiculously pricey (22k) - again, is that right? Is there any way of getting the Y1 season pass for £$£?

yes season pass will only unlock future year 2 ops so you have to buy other operator with renown

Year 1 is (probably) on sale in the in game store still if you wanted it.

Otherwise, you need to unlock the base operators by grinding like everyone else.

Nope. Be happy you didn't buy the starter edition. It's WAY worse.

mira and jackal are year 2 operators
since you have the season pass you get them
and you will get the other operators that are coming out this year
but you won't get the non dlc operators and the year 1 operators

year 1 operators cost 25k renown because they are part of the dlc
year 2 operators cost that much too but since you have the season pass you get them for free

but you will unlock the 20 non dlc ops pretty fast

You can buy y1 dlc ops in a legacy bundle
All the basic ops you have to buy either with renown or r6 credits

Ok understood - so have to unlock everything other than those Ops that will come with Y2. Out of interest, if I had bought JUST the base game (not the Starter Ed), I would not have gotten any Ops?

Correct.

Spellfire, don't worry about getting operators. Year 1 (original ops) are really easy to get and as you play you will naturally unlock them. This will give you time to actually become familiar with each operator. It's a good thing, and good for the game too (we get more players in lobby :) )

Mira is one of my fav ops. Learn how to use the mirror properly and you will be able ot essentially hold off an entire opposing team from whichever side you are on, all by yourself.

(tip: don't ever break the glass. ever.)

Do the situations first and then you will be able to unlock a few operators to start with. I see so many people come to PvP right away without knowing how the game works, or having any useful operators. Do yourself, and everyone else a favor and complete those situations first. They don't take that long.

Rgr, thanks for the clarification (glad I got this on sale). Working through the Situations & Lone Wolf Hunts now.

The situations are also fun. In fact, I'd gladly pay a few dollars to have some more (and the option to use any op on each of those existing situations).

Just do all the situations it will give you enought to buy like 1 of each class at the very least, and it will teach you the game. that way your not lvl 1 running around not knowing anything about the game!

Thank you for this! I was only finding the Legacy edition on the Ubisoft store which was $80.
