Before the game launches i am presented with Defunct and Defunct 1.0.1, what's the difference (which one is newer)?

The game has already launched? Defunct 1.0.1 would be the newer version

In this context "launch" just means me opening the game, and thanks for letting me know I've been confused since i couldn't find anything on the two options.

Not very intuitive as it is not clear whether "Defunct" is newer or older or the same as "Defunct 1.0.1" as there is no version number shown to compare with.
