Got the scoop from the Owa. They told me the line to use. Went to Calypso 1, said the words. The Examine button works, but the Use button is grayed out and won't let me actually use it in orbit. Tried other Rainbow Worlds, same result. Dunno why.

With the current steam client not supporting older games that don't run directly under windows 10 can you still run this game on steam ? Does something like Windows XP Compatibility mode still run the game ? I am also concerned i am running a Intel 13 gen I9-13900 so timing loops may not work well. I was considering try this and StarControl 1 and 2 while on sale....

Just starting this again. Isnt there a known dead end you can accidentally run into in this game? Maybe something to do with the owa? Any info would be appreciated.

I played Starcon 1/2 back in college. I don't even remember hearing about this one. Looks like a cross between Starcon and MoO.

When I attempt to start any of the Old Star Control games that I just installed I see the DosBox window open, then a second DosBox window opens, then both wondows close. What do I need to do to get the game to actually run?
