Short review:
A solid meh. Not enough to do. Some decent twin stick action. Okay for about 2 hours whether you complete or not. If that sounds okay, then enjoy.

Long review:
The game is okay. I think the music is the best part. Some of the sound effects are nice too. The controls are responsive and your character feels agile. So why no recommend?

The game isn't relentless like Geometry Wars. There is no slower, tactical area clearing like Neon Chrome. There is no puzzling like Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

After the first 2 hours, the game play gets boring. By that time, I just wanted to get to the end. Once you get weapons that ricochet, the only tactic is to spam fire at the walls. By the later levels, the heavy hitting enemies hide in the walls and jump out as you pass. Enemy detection skills are worthless. (Don't bother to spend money on them.)

So by later chapters, the game loop is spam fire to clear out an area. Move on to next, hoping to find a path to a boss fight so I could advance. There is no real incentive to play again after dying. There is nothing that carries over to another play through. Other than different layouts of the levels, there isn't anything more to keep my interest.

However I feel his kids are desecrating his legacy, so don't buy this.
