If Robin 1.0 bases try upgrading them again and/or upgrading them manually.
There was a broken Pre base station firmware (version 227) shipped briefly this evening that can break some Pre bases. If you were caught by this problem, I'm sorry but you will probably need to open a ticket so we can help you more directly.
Additionally some early Pre bases have had the mode button stick down causing the device to continously re-enter the bootloader each time it is turned on, the main symptom is no lights at start-up and will immediately enumerate as a drive if plugged into a PC via the USB port and powered on without holding the button. Most of these units can be fixed by carefully pressing the edge of the button a few times to release it. If it stays stuck down (won't click anymore) then you should send them back to HTC.
How can I contact you, can you help me to remote assistance to solve it?
My QQ Number is 511357752,
Then it booted up and worked as before. It still reported that the firmware is out of date, but I ignore the message now.
Thank you ,but I copied the firmware file"lighthouse_tx_htc_2_0-183-2016-01-11.bin" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\lighthouse\firmware\lighthouse_tx\archive\htc_2.0" to replace the firmware.bin file that was on the device.
thre will be no warming reported that the firmware is out of date, and it works very well.
Very Thanks.
One of my base station won't boot after firmware update (another one success).
Based on your solution, I connect my base stations to PC (Unplug power cable, connect USB cable, press channel button and keep pressing, connect power cable, then Windows detect base station as storage device), copy firmware.bin success one to broken one (I coludn't overwrite, so delete from broken firmware first).
Shutdown PC. Disconnect USB cable, then base station's power turned on.
And my base stations work !
I hope this will help someone with same trouble.
Thanks andy.chang and tklarc! You saved our butts!!!

Here is another thread with more information from the Valve devs.
However the above solution worked like a charm!
Thanks again
