I can play REC ROOM with any problems ! Others games just launch in the desktop menu and not in VR in my headset , what i need to do ?
It worked for me !!!
I've had the same issue for a long time, some of the games would open in headset (The Lab and Job Simulator) but others only in the monitor (Budget Cuts Demo for example). It turns out it was the windows username that was wrong for me. My OS was set to Finnish language and the default username for a user was "Käyttäjä", which was messing everything up.
I'm not sure if simply changing that name would help (not sure if it will rename the C:/Users folders or not) but I solved it by creating a new user for my computer without using any funny characters, installed Steam on it and reinstalled the VR games in that client. Works like a charm now. Of course I need to switch logins now every time I want to play VR, but probably you could work around that somehow too. I installed the Steam into the User folder of my new account, so technically I should be able to run it from my other account too through that path, I think.
But yeah, windows user naming was the problem for me. :)
Here is my system report:

1 - Go to Device Manager and disable the onboard (intel) graphic card
2 - Connect all the monitors and the headset to the dedicated graphic card. Nothing should be attached to the onboard graphic card port.
3 - Restart your computer
4 - Run Steam in admin mode (right-click on it and choose Run As Administrator).
5 - Make sure the SteamVR is running in "Direct Mode".(SteamVR>Settings>Developer).
6 - Run the game.
Note: For connecting two monitors and the headset to the dedicated graphic card, you probably need special cable or converter. I used HDMI to DP1.4 converter to connect my second monitor to DP port and used DVI cable to connect my first monitor. For the VR headset I used the HDMI port.
So I used HDMI port, DVI port and DisplayPort 1.4 on the dedicated graphic card at the end.
