WinROTT Gl Camera bug
I tried posting for help on this on GOG as I use the GOG version of Dark War, but for some reason my posts have been getting stuck in processing and don't appear for some bizarre reason so I am posting about it here. This same thread is also on the ROTT 2013 forum's ROTT '95 subforum as I first posted it there. However, no-one seems to go there anymore so I'n posting my issue here too to increase my chances of getting help fixing it:

There is a bug in WinRott GL1.70 where the first person camera keeps jumping in random directions and at random times with no warning. One moment it behaves and I'm running into a hall to shoot some triads with the mouselook working fine, the next I'm suddenly facing the ground and/or wall behind me just as I fire and I end up shooting the wall. Other times it happens I end up being turned around and lose my bearings.

I never even moved the mouse hard enough to turn that far, sometimes I did not move it at all and there are not any keyboard looking keys bound in places where I could accidentally hit them. Just recently when it happened, I was in the pause menu when it occured so when I returned to the game, I was facing 180 degrees to where I was when I pressed pause.

It is not my mouse because I've used this same 2.4GHz bluetooth wireless mouse on plenty of other 2.5D and 3D games like ROTT 2013, Marathon, Duke Nukem 3D etc. and I have no problems there; the issue is with WinROTT itself.

I have no idea what is causing this and I'm not sure if it's just a problem with mouselook: I've tried adjusting the X and Y sensitivity in the Win ROTT launcher and it nothing worked.

Nowhere I've looked has documented this bug nor has a solution.

WHAT THE F.UCK IS GOING ON AND HOW DO I FIX IT?

Pardon my caps, this issue is incredibly frustrating and I so far have had no help.

Look man i know this is from 2018 but WinRottGL sucks like the others source ports but the original version of the game on DOS is pretty good just the mouse sens are bad but you can go on ROTT.CONF put it on txt file and go to sensibility to 500 and change the resolution too if you want but if you want a source port icculus.org/rott/ it sucks too but its the best of all but it has problems it tends to crashes a lot and some cutscenes dont load but it dont suck so bad like WinRottGL WinRottGL just stretches the resolution and have texture corruptions and crashes when you pass a level. thats it i am sorry for my sucky english but

Thanks man. :)

I am aware DOS ROTT is better in some cases for the original game but WinROTT GL is all I have for a sourceport, though I mainly only use it for screenshot taking as DOSbox doesn't let me do that most of the time, the main exception being Tomb Raider 1.

It'd be nice if we got a ROTT Windows sourceport that doesn't suck (with full mouselook, advanced effects, jumping etc) too.
