Jungle
Dryland
Desert
When you hover over them, they tell you details of major spots to find within the biome. This displays how many villages, missions, shrines, altar, temple, or cenote in the map.
Despite what the description says about being experienced or not, each biome has a different playstyle.
Jungle is actually probably the hardest biome out there in general sense in my opinion. You need Machetes and Ropes to go around effectively, and you simply don't get that many. Trees will eat up a lot of sanity once you run out of the machete. They also hinder vision when all you see are trees everywhere.
Desert has some choke points with mountains, but for the most part is very opened and easy to reveal the map, even more so with a mountain. Water can be obtained in many locations for free. The downside is that the biome seems to have less shrines to visit in general. Tombs and Mummies aren't fun either, and if you have sanity issue that mummy is worthless (and painful). A Bedouin is important to uncover oasis though (I think he has an innate bonus for invisible oasis to appear? Oasis doesn't seem to spawn much without one).
Dryland is a mix of the two. The main difference is that there are a lot more mountains and less tree. Missions also spawns a lot more often here.
The graveyard map let's you find a lot of elephant tusk to sell for fund. Though I'll be honest unless you're filled with inventory spaces, having a lot of items is not necessarily a good thing.
The water temple map let's you find tons of shrines, but be aware of the disasters. You can score about 2 maps worth of treasures and is always worth dropping loots off at the ship to grab more. The only thing I don't like is how easy it is the geyser region can kill your sanity.
Prehistoric land is the same as the ones you'll see in expedition 5 and 6, but like I said you'll get the fame bonus. The chamosaurus and lizard natives are some good trek members. You can also find turtoise and raptors to hatch. Be careful of volcanoes. Although those are where seals tend to be.
Whcih options would you choose in my case and is it an easy choice or a non significant one?
Did not know you could go back to the ship and offload loot, really good info!
