Hidden 7th expedition

Is it a real thing? If it is, how to unlock it?

It's not that there is a 7th expedition, but rather there is a way on earlier levels to unlock a 'bonus level' type scenario, where you go through a portal and end up somewhere else, then have a limited length of time to explore before being teleported back to the portal.

The portal itself looks like one of the light beacons from the 6th expedition - you know, the ones you need to find to uncover the pyramid. When you are looking at the world map and selecting a destination, you can see what each destination holds in the pop up window. The icon for the portal is a small gold piece, with a glowing green centre, as seen here:

I don't think that d1g1t@l wisp is talking about the alternate universe portals. I think DW is talking about how several of the post-game epilogues refer to the former members of your expedition becoming obsessed with a mysterious "seventh expedition" and then vanishing.

Personally, I don't think it's really intended to lead anywhere. It's just a random element of mystery injected into the post-game epilogue. :)

I'm not talking about the portals. Thanks for the response though.
It'd be cool to add a way to unlock a 'hidden' seventh pyramid with situated in a very unusual region though.

Well, back in my day whe the sacrifice pool was added I decided to be obsessive and fill it's meter.

I did and at the end I got an ending that bassically said I was restless and just had to go on one last expidition.

Then it said loading a 7th expidition.

But it was all glitched, it was just the 6th, totally uncovered and with some other issues with line of sight. I had something similar happen around that time so I knew it was just a glitch.

Never was able to do it again and then later they patched something about it.

No Idea if there is an official way YET to unlock that, I feel like they are saving it.
