It's actually really, *really* easy now. One-step installer if you have Minecraft already installed. If you're a forge/mod user, I think there's another step. Currently, it launches a 1.7.10 client, but the author is working on 1.10 update.
Do you have a link to that installation setup? I'm with rev.fry I tried the whole 15 step python install thing and it didn't work :/
family try it.. were not able to leave the hole with creepers around and left XD
my self i clib up
and sit down to see the sun go down..
taken me a while to remmber i cant pass my legs of the edge as of the floor XD
Well thats the thing...I did "Google it" before and followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IaPln-ARSQ
Didn't work. Im looking for the link VRManiac may have used for instructions on how to do it.
People are trying to install the Oculus version, it appears (MinecRIFT). You want VIVEcraft from the link I provided earlier. Here's the part in the link with instructions: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/wiki/vivecraft#wiki_how_do_i_install.3F
Good Luck!
You just enable that style of movement it in the VR options in Vivecraft.
- Install Minecraft (duh).
- Run the Vivecraft installer linked from here: https://github.com/jrbudda/minecrift/releases
- Select the "Vivecraft" profile when you launch Minecraft
That's all there is too it. The guy working on it (Mike Nagle) has been pumping out new releases every few days and the experience is getting very polished. Some notes for those that hate instructions:
- This does not work on any kind of pocket edition or the Win 10 beta edtion from the Windows store. Just good old normal, java-based minecraft.
- If you are using Forge, there are a couple of extra steps. If you are using Forge chances are good you are used to the readme stuff anyway.
I'll try to field any questions posted here. As Maniac touched on, locomotion and a host of other options are found in the VR Options of the game.EDIT: Forgot to mention that as of build 26, there is support for both free rotate and Walkabout, plus of course regular motion and teleporting. Lots of movement options!
