VR Test is using the wrong GPU

So, I decided I was gonna try the performance test, just as a "what if" thing. I closed most of my applications, ran it, and it told me that I needed to upgrade my GPU.
It used my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Intel 530 instead of my NVIDIA GPU.
Is there a way to fix this so that it uses my NVIDIA card instead?

Laptop. Pretty sure I have a NVIDIA GTX 970.

Can you give the model of the Laptop? can look from there, if its the 970M note its much weaker then the 970..
On any case you sure it VR ready? i understand some Laptops have an issue of how the stream out that it pass to the CPU meaning you cant run VR on it sadly (at least as much as i know) its not true to all PCs but maybe with the model can search and see if i can find any info on it

The laptop model isn't the problem, the test told me that it was the graphics driver specifically. I'm going to disable the intel card and try it out, but it might not work

I tried to disable it, but it used the Microsoft Basic Display instead, which is far worse.

Your laptop may be limited to only be able to do 60FPS and there for not able to do VR

There is some post some where that i think i remember a Valve employ saying that, sadly cant find it, but as its a limit of the hardware, its something they cant really fix sadly

There is some post some where that i think i remember a Valve employ saying that, sadly cant find it, but as its a limit of the hardware, its something they cant really fix sadly

I know my computer can go far over 60 FPS, because my frame counter has gone over 200 in games like TF2 that can go above 60.

My HDMI Ports won't have a problem, it's my GPU that I need to change. It's using the wrong one, and I can't change it.

I've having the same issue; I have an NVidia RTX 3060 but it is detecting the built-in Intel Iris. All my other games automatically detect the correct GPU and I have the latest drivers installed as of the current date (07/10/2023).
