some seem to find some fixs, on any case i think you better joining there then add one more topic
as it will make updating a fix to everyone harder
1) (*edit - see below) Controllers never connect, you try turning them on, they go blue...->green...->turn back off. With the controller (of course) off, plug it into a USB cable to your computer. It should light up green in SteamVR - sometimes with a "firmware update available" icon that comes/goes randomly. It just takes a half-second of plugging-in to come up. Unplug it and plug in the 2nd controller. It'll come up as well. This was my routine all day today, as it DOES indeed seem to require a computer reboot to get the controllers to come back up naturally, on their own, again... hmm. And if you restart SteamVR for any reason, you'll have to USB-connect them again to turn them back on... (sigh)
2) Controllers turn off randomly during gameplay. This is another bug in SteamVR related to power management, and affects all levels of power management - so it also turns off the headset and even exits SteamVR randomly if you have those options enabled. Solution? Go to the Settings and turn the controller timeout to "never", and uncheck the option to turn off controllers when exiting VR.
That ought to help a few people. :)
Update: Well... I thought I had #1 down to a science, but SteamVR proved me wrong again. Doing the exit->turn on trick didn't work; when SteamVR opened, it just shut off the controllers. Messing around a bit more with plugging them in via USB and getting them stuck in "blue light" mode (connecting? forever?), I eventually found that SteamVR showed ONE controller connected (one green, one grey), but BOTH controllers are green and tracking in VR. So, SteamVR is just... wooo, out there in looneyville. :D
update update: actually I'm rewriting my recommendation above instead, now I found another solution that works.
