LEVEL Infinity - Why is it called that?
Why is level infinity called level infinity if its not infinite? Is there symbolism behind that level? (Well actually I feel like there is symbolism coming from the game as a whole :P)

Because. Only infinity can surpass Omega.

Or something.

That level screwed me over...
Tried to S-Rank all Levels, managed to get to the last part of Level 9, beat the thing with no idea how my rank is and when it finally shows that I am only A-Rank, it's too late and I have to restart the entire level again..... Not cool.

It shows your rating if you hit escape after beating the boss at some point. It's not straight away but it's before you are locked in to finishing.

So there is an actual story in this game? I'd love to know it.

Well, the "story" can be interpreted in multiple ways. The only major story element here is the giant floating head boss that you continuously fight at the end of each level, and as you do he gets progressively more angry and demonic looking. And then in level infinity you seem to be fighting the giant iconic pyramid shaped thing that seems to be what creates the track you ride on, and once you beat it you end up going into the light that creates the track. This could represent many things, but thats up to you.

Something I noticed: "Ω" is often thought as implying an ending. Yet in math, the lower-case equivalent, "ω" is used to represent a version of infinity[mathworld.wolfram.com], namely Cantor's infinite ordinal number (well, one version of it anyway). Maybe infinity was guiding us the whole time.

But then how do you explain that No seriously, this is a major spoiler! the track seems to end after you defeat the final boss (the pyramidal one) of level 9 right on the tip of that pyramid? Also, any interpretations of that ending are welcome if you have any.

For some reason, it's only the end of level 9 (or level infinity if you will) that does this to me, even with the HUD on. I too was trying for an S-rank, and I thought for sure I had gotten an S on the final level... only to find I apparently wasn't doing enough perfect turns and whatnot and ended up with a B. I felt deflated, but not too discouraged. So I went in again and got an S the second time.

That was similar to what I thought, but there are still so many question my brain wants answers for.
Like:
-What is Crakhed (the giant floating head) exactly? Is he/she/it in any way associated or related to the giant pyramid?
-What is this world? Is it just an endless void with this one track going through this... void?
-What are those monsters you fight as midway-bosses? Are they something that we would call "local fauna" or are they created by Crakhed or the pyramid?
-Where does the beetle come from? Was it forced in this situation or did it willingly go on this track?
-Is the beetle part of "local fauna" or is it from another dimension as well?
-Can the beetle hear the music and noises we hear as well?
-How do the rules of this dimension work? And does the beetle really move on the track via magnetism, like I think it is?

So many things that I personally find way too interesting to just pass them off with the excuse: "It's just a trippy rhythm game."

HOLY CRAP that was a trek - but well worth it!

I'll be the third here to say that I tried S - ranking but got bamboozled. 5 hours is a lot of time to retry. But even worse when you have to do it three times.

Happy to finally be done. Great game. Thanks devs! :)
