Save Sharing?
Hey all, been playing a ton of Desolation of Mordor - I absolutely LOVE it. The only drawback to the DLC is how badly I wished there was either a newgame+ or a region resetter tool. They have one in DoM, if you die the region gets reset and all uruks are randomly generated (except the Overlord)

Not sure that feature will ever make it over to the main game so I was wondering if it's possible to share saves. Like would it be possible for someone to share a save of their Mordor that has no dominated uruks? Sadly for me, I have nearly every captain dominated and it would take literal hours to kill them all off. I'd love to start a fresh Mordor without having to power through the story mode again.

You mean a save where the story is over but no orcs are owned? That's impossible. Act 2 requires you to own all the forts. Now one thing you can do is lose all your forts in endless sieges and then what orcs you didn't lose doing that, you then lose in a fort assault. Might take more than one assault, but in the defense make sure every warchief has 2 bodyguards.

Right. Something that I've done in the past is stock my forts up and then leave the area. It causes the mission to fail and all defending uruks (except the Overlord) to die. I wouldn't mind doing that, but it then requires me to take the fort over again just to do it and not to toot my own horn but my uruks don't even NEED me. They assault the forts and take them over just fine. Sitting around and waiting for them to die in an assault is next to impossible. Like I said above, I *CAN* wipe all of my dudes out, but it'll take some time.

Ok, how about in the fort assault, you attack your own captains?

Why not just Shun your Orcs to have them kicked from your army? They'll lose a few levels (and some may even get deranged or become maniacal,) but its a fast and easy way to get rid of them if you want too. Just find them, dominate them, and click 3 to Shun them. Easy.

Saves are linked to your steamID64, so no you can't share saves. What you can do is manually backup your save from ..\Steam\userdata\<steamid>\356190\remote\ and then delete your current save from the Main Menu > Start screen and start a new one. You can then swap/restore the old one whenever you want.

Certain things are account-based and will always remain, like your garrison, gold and chests. Problem is that you can't pick and chose what is being reset... The game's world (forts and uruks) and your mirian/character/story progress is all saved in those XXXXXXXX_ShadowOfWar.sav files, so when doing as I described above and starting over in a new save, you're starting the story and character progression along with forts/uruks in the world over.

In short, there's no way to just reset uruks. You're left with the types of suggestions you've already gotten.
