They messed up the bodyguard...
When the endgame content is mostly online stuff for the loot boxes, bodyguard as a skill becomes useless. Bodyguards should't be region specific and when selecting one, they are removed from the region army and maybe slotted in a new shared spot in the top right of the army screen. Then said bodyguard could be used across all regions and in online vendettas and conquests. It's currently useless with current design.

Erm no, Bodyguard is most overpowered ability in the game if you get a good one he can pretty much solo ♥♥♥♥ for you (Pro tip use your best Orc as BG not as a WL or OL)

Ughh... bodyguards can't be taken into online activities...

Not true. You can't take them into Vendettas but you can take them into fortress assaults.

Try dominating a captain in the conquest and then going to the army screen and then making him your bodyguard. I don't know if there's much point to that, but it might work.
