Shadow of war vs Witcher 3

I was thinking about buying one of this games. I would like you to tell me which one you prefer and why.

I don't think you can 'compare' this these two games. Maybe for example; Shadow of War or Shadow of Modor but not Witcher 3 and Shadow of War as they are 2 seperate and hugely different games.

Don't come onto the Shadow of War discussions and ask what game you should get, do that on reddit or something...

I don't think W3 is the best game of all time like most, but that may be since I have been gaming since 1979 and I'm old. My opinion on a game usually is never the same as other gamers and I have found it changes from one decade to the next.

Both games are a masterpiece for their own reasons but I'd pick W3 over SoW because it is on sale and SoW isn't.

Amount of hours you will get out of Witcher 3 for $20 you shouldn't pass up on, then later when looking for another game to play SoW may very well be on sale (just like all games).

I would! I really would. And I did try it multiple times. But I was bored every time, and got more and more irritated at the sheer amount of people worshipping it like crazy, like, "is something wrong with me? Why don't I enjoy this alleged masterpiece?"
And SoM was just a lucky buy from my part on a huge sale. I just wanted to try it out, and it sucked me in for days. So, I'm just speaking my mind, I suppose.

It is really good. Probably like anything else trhough that is good it got over hyped. I played the 1st ones and didn't board the hype train. So my bar for expectations was actually exceeded as it trumps the 1st 2 games easily enough. I would say tune out the worshipers and just enjoy it for what it is. I like SoM and SoW quite a bit myself too. I don't think you will find too many that dislike them (aside from the MT haters and SoW). I think it's fine to enjoy the type of gameplay SoM or SoW offers more than Witcher 3. I just think you are missing out by not playing witcher 3 as masterpiece or not, it is a gem of a game in it's own right with great atmosphere.

That's.. incredible.

There is no game, NOT A SINGLE ONE, that can be compared to Witcher 3, this is the best game that has ever been released on pc => graphics, gameplay, lore, ... .
