Storytelling: I never thought the storytelling of part 1 was great, i like it a lil bit more here. (Finished only act 1 yet tho, since im not rushing).
And dont listen to all the Microtransactions-whiners. No content is locked behind a paywall. Gaining ingame currency is easy, but i think there aint even a need of buying Captains, no matter if its with ingame currency or real money. The only thing (i think) you can buy for money only is an exp-booster.... and seriously... who needs that in a SP game? I wouldnt even want it for free... lol
but if you say that this is a lot harder than the first one then i have one more reason to get the game
IMHO u can compare SoM difficulty with the middle of easy / normal mode here... but you still have nemesis, which i didnt try yet.. but i heard its hard.

more seriously though, i didnt play a lot of the first game cause it was missing something from my pov, and i find this something in this game now, so im happy.
and as far as i am in the story (at the start lol) i dont find anything disturbing or worse compared to the first, and for the ending, clearly, cant help you.
But moneywise maybe you can find the game less pricey on key seller sites.
