You don't want to use that save. One of the devs or something said there would be a "surprise" for those who use pirated versions. Or that's what I read someone say in these forums. So that save probably has a feature that's sabotaged somehow.

Really? You bring this on the official forum? It's all nice that what you did what you did but even taking that into consideration this question has answers in other places, I am pretty sure they do not provide technical support (nor endorse it) for pirated copy saves.

To end this quickly, you will have to start a new game if you made no preparations in advance (which you almost certainly didn't judging by the question itself).

I myself sometimes pirate a game to see whether it works or I like it, then after a couple hours uninstall and either buy it or forget about it.

There's certain games that'll allow you to do stuff like that but usually they won't. However, if you downloaded a DRM free version of a game, and then buy it on steam or some other platform you'll be able to do it since it hasn'¡t been modified in any way.

Keep it mind you won't get any of the achievements though. You'll have to play through those parts again if you care about that stuff.

But as a rule of thumb, if the game doesn't allow modding, odds are you're safer not using the save from a pirated version.
