Can't kill the Arena nemesis
He is Arrow proof, and execution proof. I can't whittle him down from a far and head on attack is impossible. He has an extra health feat and has a feat that lets him heal back HP when I'm not around so I can't spam sneak. How am I supposed to kill him?

So, maybe it's just mine, but he's vigilant against stealth, arrow-proof, got last stand and epic determination, and at the same time no (that means 0, nil, zero, nada, nyista) mortal weaknesses, vulnerabilities and is dazed by nothing.
Hints say he is damaged by beasts, and there are 5 or 6 caragors nearby, but he's also a beast slayer and has a fairly large gang, so caragors are chopped to pieces even if I lure all of them to him.
He's also damaged by explosions, but mighty shot does not even dent his health (see arrow-proof), only push him back a bit. I can detonate the grog barrels, and fire actually hurts him a bit, but the second he stops burning, he heals himself.
Same with executions; I can damage him, but since I can't exactly stay next to him, it doesn't matter, he's at full health within seconds.

I tried to curse him but I've got only a dagger with curse chance; too bad he's arrow proof and stealth vigilant. Last stand may be countered for a few seconds if I could bring in my Gondorian guys, but, of course, I'm not allowed to do that,

Someone said above he could beat him after two hours. I'm in my 4th hour with him (although I had a breakfast and a few cigarettes in the meantime) and it's like I never even touched him. Oh, and it's all on normal difficulty. So any practical advice would be welcome.

Oh, almost forgot: arrow-proof, so elven rage does nothing to him...

Is he Frost Proof? You could try upgrading Elven Light to inflict frost. (But I dont remember when this upgrade becomes avalible.) The basic Elven Light might give you a chance to knock him over for a ground execution also, with the advantage of stunning/freezing all the minions around you.

Elven rage also give unlimited executions.
Try shooting him while he heals. It may not do damage but it might interrupt him (not sure, haven't tried)

Tried elven light with fire and frost. Somehow I just couldn't get it done with his shield not facing me, so everyone around me got affected, except him.

Yeah it's a joke. The Caragors don't last long if trying to use them as distraction/decoy/assist. Enemies keep spawning in too. Game is a mess in some areas in terms of design, though some area(s) are well done.

The thing is, I see him healing with two methods. The first is when he kneels, black smoke comes out of him (or something like this, I couldn't exactly focus on the details...), and then he heals for 20-25% of his max hp. The second method is .... he stands there for a few seconds, maybe arms outstrectched, aaaaand.... he's on full health.

I actually got incredibly lucky and could nuke him to 0 health once by hitting only him, doing executions on him, and only parrying the other orcs' attacks. Of course he's death defying.... And after that, although he rose only with minimal health, and I still tried to nuke him, he was back at full health in no time, no matter how much I harassed him.

This whole fight is like in other games' boss fights where there is switch to flip or thing to break to make the boss vulnerable. Like Seath the Scaleless in Dark Souls where he's basically invulnerable until you notice that crystal thingy in his cave and break it.

I haven't tried elven rage's unlimited executions, so thank you, I'll see what I can do with that. But I need some non-unbeatable-boss related entertainment for a while :-D

Okay, long story short: if you got a Nemesis Extraordinaire, then abandon mission, and restart it...

On the second try I got an opponent with different setting. He was still level 19, looked exactly the same, but he lost Epic Determination, and acquired Mighty Defenders instead, which looked promising, but later turned out to be the deceit of the Dark Lord, because he still healed himself. But! He got actual weaknesses: Beast Fodder and Fear of Caragors... He was down in one minute...

Also, I don't know what happens if you start this quest with an actual Nemesis, which I, as far as know, didn't have.

So, thanks Monolith, awesome game, but you should revisit this part...

Teleporting, fast shield user with poison and heal, immune to range and stealth. Once he adapted to flipping and freezes, he became completely impossible to deal with. Whats worse is once I was poisoned, I was too slow to escape his chase or teleport, meaning it was always one-touch death. Took me a while but I found a way to cheese it.

HOW TO BE A TOTAL EASY-MODE CHEESE:

Get him angry and chasing you, and drag him back to one of the areas with a single caragor cage before killing off the other orcs. More will spawn, but they will go to the middle, making it a 1v1. Free the caragor, break it and mount it. Immediately use the jumping attack off the caragor to pounce on the champion and stab him, dealing a little damage. He'll throw you off and start to stand up, giving you plenty of time to jump back on the Caragor to jump attack him the second he's standing.

Here's a WEBM of me beating him this way

Sounds good, assuming you spent at least 1 point on beast riding ... :DwellerSmilingStatue:

You can grab a grunt and throw the grunt into him. Earlier today I tried that against a captain and it actually knocked him down.

I'm so glad that Shadow of Mordor was a cakewalk for me because I never got any worthy nemesis that had been able to kill me more than once. The Uruks are a lot tougher in this game so I've died way more haha

my nemesis had a cursed spear that the threw at me and it did 80% of my health. He was arrow proof and the only vulnerable thing he had was poison but I could never get close to him because he had orcs everywhere. After I restarted the mission my nemesis was the same but with poison spear. I got to change the difficult to easy just to not need to fight him..

Mines got no fears, is vault proof and stun proof, immune to arrows and executions. beast slayer and enraged by caragors (although he is damaged by them, he just kills them pretty much instantly.) the only thing he is vulnerable to stealth but by the time ive tricked him around the corner and stealthed him hes usually all healed up from the last time. super frustrating.

Try what worked for me (see above). Basically: abort mission then take it up again. Seems like his attributes are decided when you acquire the mission. For me, he changed enough to go from demi-god to cannon fodder without changing difficulty...

I didnt fight that until level 14/15 or so, but use poison or fire weapons, the environment like catagors and explosive barrels, etc.
It's tough but not impossible, every one has a weakness
