Do I get anything, like weakening the fortress or not?
You have to be on the head of the figure, not anywhere else like the shoulder or a spear - even if it's not the very top. Like if it's the Machine monument it's an orc raising a it's hand above its head and you can stand on that bit, but that won't work - it has to be the literal head. It's annoyingly picky like that. You will then be able to press the grab button and Talion will smash his hammer into the head while jumping down and the monument will crumble.
This is what I'm wondering. From what I've seen in game and online I don't think so? It smells to me like a half-baked or cut mechanic tbh.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong though.
