Is rakash the only goblin which is able to speak ?

Im just playing for a few hours and i was in a mission with other goblins but only rakash is able to talk to others why is that ?

Here is what I find strange. In the first game there was actually some other goblins that spoke to styx. However I don't know if they were doing this telepathically via amber or not cannonically they are just all dead now and the new goblins produced from the amber lake are dead. However in SOD it seems all goblins are very animal like. Devoid of higher thought.

Well... it's another of Styx' clones. Styx and his clones are the only goblins which can talk in the games.

Yea, but my point was that new styx is not the only one who can talk. I am also not sure this is cannon, but in SOD there is coop mode that allows new styx to make a perfect clone. If this is cannon that at least its possible for new styx to make talking clones.

There are definitely some differences in terms of the lore of both games. I don't remember it exactly though, to be honest. But, strictly speaking, Styx is the only goblin who can talk, thus his clones can talk as well (being direct copies of him). At least some. If I recall correctly, some were too degenerated to even talk. ;)

Of Orcs and Men is the game that started it all with Styx. In the game prologue it says that Styx is the only goblin that speaks and that he's a very smart one. Any other Goblin is too dumb to be able to speak.
