Games like Styx series... suggestions anyone?
Hello, so I'm currently obsessed with the Styx series, and it's all I want to play lately...

I've done a little bit of research to see if there's any stealth games similar to the two main Styx games, and came up with virtually nothing. Is there any such game(s) out there?

I have already played both dishonored's (a common suggestion... they were very good though!) and assassin's creed is just... not what I'm looking for lol

Like, I want PURE stealth, challenging just like Styx... graphics aren't too much of a concern, either. Possibly similar mechanics, too? As much as I wanna manifest a third Styx game I doubt that'll be happening, at least anytime soon for sure. So, any suggestions are appreciated!

Thief and Aragami come to mind. Both are largely stealth games and incorporate some kind of power that the protagonist can use to their advantage.

But well, there arent really that many pure stealth games or good stealth games out there like Styx. Hence why it is a bummer that we wont get a Styx 3 for some time. If at all. Although the devs hinted that a new Styx game is not out of question.

Have you tried Aragami?
It, like Styx, has very limited combat options (Less than Styx, even!) and also has some similar-ish abilities, though also has a dishonored-esque teleport, if you liked that. It's definitely something you should look into, though it has a very different aesthetic and might not be what you're looking for.

If you're looking for stealth games in general, with less necessity of them being similar to Styx, I have some other suggestions that you probably won't have heard of, since they're all a little more out there.
Gunpoint, Monaco, Satellite Reign, Clandestine.

Gunpoint is a 2D puzzle-stealth game with some hacking elements. Almost no similarity to Styx in terms of gameplay, but it's definitely an interesting thing when it comes to stealth.

Monaco is top-down chaotic nonsense, but again worth looking into.

Satellite Reign is... Very different, so you'll have to look into it if you're even going to consider it, but it's a good game that you can do almost entirely stealth if you build into it.

Clandestine is designed for two players, one being the hacker who enables the agent in levels to go through certain doors, avoid cameras, stuff like that. It can of course still be played singleplayer, and is VERY unique overall.

Just some ideas for you to look into overall, really.

Oh yeah, definitely going to give the thief series a look for sure. Haven't looked into them too much, but heard good things.

Aragami is on my wishlist, so maybe I'll get it sooner than later if you suggest it! I saw some gameplay and it certainly looks strategically interesting in terms of moving shadows and stuff.

I agree, Styx is quite unique in terms of pure stealth, such a perfect example of its genre... I can only hope devs decide to continue it, but thanks for these suggestions in the meantime :)

Ah, another Aragami suggestion! Thank you, I will look into that one.

You're right in saying I haven't heard of the rest haha, which is a good thing! Gunpoint sounds interesting for sure, I haven't looked into much 2D stealth games, but I don't wanna be missing out on a good stealth experience...

Interesting suggestions here, even if they aren't like Styx that's alright, still probably worth a look.

My advice would be Dishonored and Seven: The Days Long Gone. First one doesn't need any introduction (I guess), and the second one... Well, it's very specific and I'd suggest you to try to understand it and to get used to it, because it's kinda hard, yet rewarding.

Ooh, the second one I haven't heard of, either. If it's the kind of game that's hard but rewarding, though, sign me up, thanks!

Thief series for sure if you want stealth. Thief Gold/Dark Project was incredibly influential in shaping the future of stealth games. It can be tough, archaic, and annoying at times, such as how if you do very poorly in stealing a lot of valuables in a previous mission, you may not have enough money to get important supplies for the next mission, and end up needing to replay the previous mission again to try for a better gold count (and believe you me, its missions are NOT short; they're long, winding, and daunting). But it's a game that any stealth fan should at least give a try.

If you thought getting thief insignias were one of the funner parts of the Styx games, you'll have a great time with the rampant kleptomania in the Thief games.

It regularly goes on sale for $1, so watch out for it.

Daaaang, 7 bucks? Whatever happened to those prices lol...

I got Styx for that recent 2-dollar sale, so I'll definitely watch out for a steal like that.
I kind of like the idea of having to plan ahead in terms of stealing stuff, that sounds frustratingly fun! Definite add to the wishlist, for sure.
I will throw a few more here that have not been mentioned, for you to look into: Deus Ex, Mark of the Ninja, Shadwen, Metal Gear Solid 5, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, NEO Scavenger

Thief is both the grandfather and gold standard when it comes to 3D stealth games, in my opinion. Just be sure to use the latest NewDark patch, because the first two games are from the 90's and weren't intended for modern systems.

I also recommend Mark of the Ninja, which is a 2D stealth platformer. It feels kinda like Styx, in that it is important to hide your dead and plan how to not die stupidly.

Yeah, thief, the original trilogy, obviously, not that travesty of a reboot. Id also look at the first 3 Splinter Cell games. I'll also echo what others have said. Seven, Gunpoint, Ninja are all very good and underhyped.

i suggest you to play the last thief (2014) on the hardest difficulty the game feel great with this setting, alien isolation too can be played in full sneaky style but the environnement is very different, and for thief 1 i also recommend you to play with the mod Thief 1 HD Mod v1.2 awesome work.

Thanks all for the recommendations so far! I tried aragami which was pretty good; for some reason the story didn't really capture me, but the gameplay was cool nonetheless. Also in the middle of the first Thief which is very intriguing to me, gameplay and story-wise. I'll keep trying out these recs, so thanks everyone for the assistance :)

OK 2 main problems when it comes to stealth esk games one there to much on the flashy side or to focused on little details but my most favorite of all time are the splinter cell series
or metal gear solid series another that comes to mind is the new thief i prefer that one over the old ones
