So I remember in the fist styx that combat with a guard usually was a chore at best, reload time at worse. Now I understand this is a stealth game, that I am fine with, I understand styx is a pisspoor weak goblin who can only really kill a human via trickery and guile, but why the hell cant I free swing my weapon? I would love to be able to knock on walls to lure guards with my clone, I would love to be able to swing my weapon around to mess with rag doll, most importantly it makes no damned sense that I cant just swing my weapon and cut the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blind ass bugs, sans for the armored ones because they have knight tier armor.
Now I dont expect the ability to kill an enemy in combat as fast as parry kill, or even at all, but damnit did they atleast give us more abilities to controll the flow of patrols? More ways to lure guards to their demise in the corner besides jsut making a clone run out in the open??

Just play at the Goblin difficulty, it's the way the game is meant to be played..

See my reason for the thread was to see if htey added more ways to control the flow of patrols, means to lure them beyond what we had in styx 1. Because we could either hope a noise object was near, or get spotted and hope you could outrun them, or use mana for clone but that kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ your attempts to snag them with the clone in a cubbord. I was really hoping styx 2 introduced more ways to distract lure guards beyond limited sand piles and your soft squishy flesh.

Because I want to get the game but I am not going to buy it full price if they didnt not improve upon the stealth with some much needed features.

Dude, just whistle, it's pretty much the best thing in the game. You already start with the "kill from cover" skill from the first game, just do that.

Guard nearby? Whistle to get him yellow, grab and kill. If there's two guards you only need one bolt to kill both.

so you CAN distract them now in the second one, thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rad, I was super annoyed that in styx 1 you couldnt even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knock teh wall with your dagger let alone swing it outside of quick time, and that the only really reliable and non lethal way to your self to lure guards was to use a clone and that cost precious amber.
I also didnt like that you didnt have the kill from cover skill by default, same with drop kill and hanging kill, I would have rather get upgrades to those to do stuff like draining amber or hp from target or making body vanish or turning it into a poison bomb with a delayed fuse or hell even eating it for amber would be cool....not the whole " learn how to do obvious thing" upgrade we got now :/

You get all these you listed in the second game. Kill from above is the first skill from the "kill" tree, poison bombs are from clones.. and you also get the VERY op acid mine that even has a radius. You get the amber drain by using one of the daggers, same for body vanish, that'd be the Akenash dagger. Personally I think it,s the single most powerful thing in the game, you can't do muffled kills but since there,s no body, you pounce and quickly roll away when others come to check. And since there's again, no body.. no alert either.

Hey, in the first game Styx was just a grumpy goblin, he's several decades older now, so he knows his stuff.

Also, just play Goblin difficulty, your life bar becomes completely irrelevant.

styx and his clone can lure enemys by making a noise. u just have to press "x" on keyboard. also u can evade most fights and even dodge attacks, if u are going invisible and rolljump away on the right moment .

Just play Goblin difficulty, you won't ever need to worry about fights (or your life bar)

Good stuff. I feel this is the way the game should be played anyway. You're a nasty, foul mouthed little gobbo, not a powerful hero.

I'm happy what they did with the sequel.. having plenty of humor added and badass level design is a treat. Seriously, whenever I hear Styx groan about another game In Character I just grin like an idiot. The reference to Assassin's Creed actually made me laugh out loud.
