What are your problems with the game? Maybe we can offer some advice?
2. Don't fight face to face
3. Don't let they see you
4. Enjoy
Jokes apart, you should be a bit more specific about what are the difficulties that you're encountering.
Also consider that a stealth game have a different learning curve.
So, what are the 'problems'?
Err...
1) Isolate the target. Use distraction items or whistle to get their attention (Up on the Dpad if you're using a controller) to try to lure people one by one towards you so you can shank them. Never shank a guy when there's someone looking in his direction.
2) Make sure you HOLD DOWN the kill button for a silent kill. If you just tap the button, it's not a silent kill.
3) You don't NEED to kill enemies outside of very specific mission objectives. I was able to get the gold rank for speed AND gold rank for Mercy on the first two missions with little trouble. There's a LOT of sneaky alternate routes you can take (up on support beams, shimmying along ledges, etc)
This is a pure stealth game, not Dishonored. You have to take your time, analyze patrol routes and isolate your targets if you want to kill them.
0_o Wow. Ummm... What? The game is hard but not THAT hard. Like, I took that long on each full mission the first time, while I was learning the layout and stuff. For one single objective it should totally not take that long.
Like...Can you record yourself so we can see and offer advice?
theyre trying to help you and your just whining about a game that is completley fine and ur just bad at it
How about you stop being rude and take a sharp turn out of here.
There is a tutorial. Level 0
The first level shows you how to traverse using wall-holds and ropes and shimmying to get up and aroud places.
Then it gives you two guards facing away from you so you can sneak up on them and kill them (or just sneak past with Invisible or poison darts),
Then it shows you a situation where you need to get the enemy's attention and prompts you to use a clone while pointing out the chandelier/cage you can drop to make the enemies move away from the door (and hole in the wall) that you need to get into.
Then it gives you a few guards in a small enclosed space in a barracks with some easy patrol routes to study (and one guard basically permanently looking away over a balcony, another one looking away at a book who sometimes goes to eat food you can poison, and one guy sleeping) so you can take them out one by one or sneak past.
Then it gives you a REALLY hard corridor to get through...But if you climb up to the roof, you'll find that you can go up on top of a beam above the corridor and bypass it easily, teachign you that if a particular place looks way too heavily guarded, there's usually an alternative route.
Then, a 2 man patrol you can't just kill, but that's ok, you can easily sneak past them as they face in the opposite direction from the way forward.
And finally, the end of the mission, which combines a little bit of everything, where it tests you on what you've learned over the rest of the level. Traversal by climbing on ropes and wall-holds, looking for alternate routes, isolating targets to kill them, waiting for patrols to turn their backs before sneaking past them, etc.
It DOES teach you everything you need to know and gives you a lot of room to practice. Yes, it doesn't freeze time and show you precisely what you need to do with nice animation videos or whatever, but it still teaches you.
Well, what mission are you on now?
The mission that has all these moments is Mission 0 - Prologue. If you've made it to Styx's hideout, you can use the book on the table to replay it (If you're on a mission now, you can choose to go back to the hideout and play that mission again in the "Restart" option in the pause menu).
If you've NEVER made it to Styx's hideout...You're still in the tutorial mission. Start it over and pay closer attention to what they teach you at the start, I guess.
(also, I sincerely hope you're using Amber Vision to highlight the stuff you can interact with. It makes finding handhods to get up the wall a breeze)
If you need to refresh on the tutorial, then save the game and restart back to the hideout, so you can play Mission 0 again and practice more. Try using amber vision more and try to find new routes through levels, there's often many ways to appraoch an objective.
I didn't even think about not killing them. I am so used to games where you don't do stealth all the time. My issue with using clone is, I didn't have enough amber to use it? I am going to restart and see if I can locate more goodies.
