Anyone else having issues Swinging from ropes?
Direction Detection while swinging feels odd; if I hold Up on the Stick sometimes Styx swings at to the upper-left direction and affects my swing to the next rope.
Would be helpful if this gets patched in the future.

I do that but for some reason Styx would swing towards a direction I didn't him to swing to.

are you trying to jump rigth after the first swing?

I use keyboard and mouse, so I don't have any "stick-y" problems.

And before you ask for a patch you need to get community backing from multiple people within the community to affirm this is a widespread problem. You can't just assume it is and then ask for a patch, otherwise it reflects badly on the developers because it will seem like they didn't do anything, when there was actually no problem to begin with.

I totally hear you, Tizoc, and I've beaten the game and completed all the side objectives and insignias, so I'd like to think I know a little bit about what I'm talking about. Sometimes, even if you just hold down, say, W to swing straight in the direction your facing, Styx will swing just EVER so slightly to the left or right, like he refuses to go perfectly straight on no matter how long you hold W.

Nine times out of ten, this isn't a big deal. But if you need to get somewhere precisely, such as if you're jumping from one rope to another rope, then even slight deviation can screw up the jump and get an unfair death.

I notice it the most on the prologue level, if you try to swing on the ropes underneath the tavern.

yeah this is an issue. I get the same problem and I use keyboard and mouse. There is some threads about this.

I see lots of problems with this game but you're the only one with a keyboard in use.
On a scale of 1 - 10 how easy is it?
And what grade cpu do you have.

Seiko300 is NOT the "only one" with a keyboard. I have the same problem trying to swing to a ledge which is a good distance. Styx won't move up or down on the rope. I've tried to jump lower to grab the rope so I would have some swing room, but that's a 1 in 10 shot at best. As it is, you can only swing a few feet. Some cheap geek trick has me close to uninstall. I've played the original Styx and the first two chapters without any problem. The other option is to find a different way, which takes you through a legion of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that can't be killed in combat. The game's supposed to be entertaining, but at this point in the game it's just stupid ugly. Beam me up, Scottie....

For keyboard just in case someone missed it (this works for me):

Hold W only for forward, not back and forth alternating W and S
Slide up and down the rope; hold rgt mouse button and W for up and S for down
When you release, make sur you use spacebar instead of C, if C you will plummet to death.

Good luck

Thanks goforit;, you saved me, indeed i was making the mistake of swinging back and forth and that was causing the issue, i just hold now the direction of where i want to go and it swinged in the proper way :controllerThumbsUp::lunar2019coolpig:

You are a legend! I was swinging backwards and forwards too, and this correction has saved me a lot of grief. Thankyou!
